Had a great time. Stayed at a water front cabin. Quiet and peaceful. The lodge restaurant had a good breakfast, with decent sized portions. All staff were very friendly and professional.

Very Beautiful and Serene!! Cabin's are Very Nice and a lot of them are right on the water,,For Fishing and Boating,, The Cabins I think are PRICED TO HIGH!! YOU CAN GO TO A LOCAL HOTEL. WITH ROOM SERVICE, AND IT IS CHEAPER!!! Then GO to the park to take advantage of all the Amenities,, They have ALL the different types of Camping , all though they are a little bit to close together!! Once you set up your Tent or back your RV in,, Their is little to NO ROOM.. So you really need to go Scout it out BEFORE you make a Reservation to make sure you get a good spot. They have a COWBOYS camping area, So bring your Horses and Tent or RV and Ride all the Trails,, They have a Shooting Range and an Archery Ranger . So I believe that they have something for everyone. Go see for yourself I don't think you will be dissapointed. Happy Camping

We DID find Bigfoot, but it wasn't here. We found a nice campground nearby and talked to a great park ranger, took a pic with their Sasquatch cutout, and found a cozy lodge nearby, but my experience in this park and on this beach was misty, drizzling, miserable, lonely, and creepy (even tho I was with 3 big, strong guys that I know and trust). We didn't even see a crane or any sort of life. Creepy.

I've gotta be honest: I can't fairly rate this park. Everyone has great ratings for it, so I'd hate to mar its rating. We came over Halloween weekend looking for Bigfoot. It was raining and miserable and deserted. It seemed haunted and creepy. The "beach house" looked over run, rusty, falling apart, and crappy. Only one other car came through and they were very clearly lost. NO ONE else was there.

Salt Fork Lodge is guite nice. Stayed in the cabins by the lake. The drive back to the lodge is 3.8 miles, seemed very long drive after a long day. I would recommend this place, so check it out.

Salt Fork is the largest state park in Ohio. The lake has excelent fishing opportunities year round. They have a large marina area where you can put in a boat, or rent one. There is a golf course and lodge area along with cabin rentals. The hiking trails available are extensive. There are also miles of equestrian trails and an equestrian camping area. The scenery and photographic opportunities are endless. This is one of our favorite places to go.
